DIRECTIONS... From the mainstreet of Raglan township (Bow Street), turn left onto Wainui Rd. Drive 8km to Whale Bay. You come to a roundabout, turn left on to Whaanga Rd. The entrance to the Raglan Surf School & the Karioi Lodge Backpackers is the second drive on the left, number 5b (there is a black round sign indicating Raglan Surf School & the Karioi Outdoor Centre). The office is at the very top of this drive, go to top of the hill, and park in the main carpark then walk the remaining 600m to the office.

If you're running late or you are also staying with us at the Karioi Lodge you may prefer to drive directly to the office for check-in. After this you must park in the main car park & walk back to the office for the start of the lesson.

Please note, check in is 15 minutes prior to the surf lesson start time. If you have time please park in the main car park and walk the remaining 600m along to the office. This saves parking congestion at the office which has only a few car parks.

All you need to bring with you is a towel, togs, change of clothes, something warm to wear if winter, sunscreen, and water. Cheers & see you soon!

*DAILY SURF LESSONS* Want to learn to surf or advance your surfing? Take a lesson with the Raglan Surf School for guaranteed fun & adventure. Join our trained surf instructors on a half-day group lesson for beginners running daily! You can also book a one on one intermediate or advanced surf lesson. Bookings essential. All surf equipment and transportation is included.	*SURF PACKAGES* Surf lesson adventure packages are a must for any keen people wanting the chance to put into practice what they learn from the beginners lesson & also who need a great place to stay whilst in Raglan. Accommodation is at the Raglan Surf School Base, the Karioi Lodge in Whale Bay. The packages include surf lessons, equipment hire on subsequent days, transportation, sauna & accommodation.

*SURF EQUIPMENT RENTALS* We have a wide range of surfboards (mini malibus, short boards and soft tops), boogie boards & flipper sets plus full/steamer wetsuits for hire and can also offer sound advice if you are interested in purchasing surf equipment. You can rent equipment for our trailor direct from Ngarunui beach in the summer.	*GROUPS* The fun & excitment of surfing combined with the beauty & nature of Raglan make taking a surf lesson for groups & corporates an ideal adventure & team building activity. Small & large groups are catered for with accommodation and catering as additional options.

YOUTH CAMPS Thurs 17th DEC - Tues 22nd DEC 09 The annual teenage youth camp held in the December school holiday's is always in high demand. Every year students from all over N.Z meet together for 1-10 surf filled days. The camp includes all accommodation, scrummy food, surf equipment & instruction, transport, supervision plus many other exciting activities around Whale Bay. Next camp is in December from the 17th - 22nd December 09. Send in your registration form early to avoid disappointment as limited space available!	SCHOOLS Looking for an educational activity for your students that’s unique & exciting and which offers a life enhancing experience? Our school surfing sessions definitely fit the bill with thousands of students having enjoyed our surfing programme developed in conjunction with Water Safety NZ and Surfing NZ. On top of learning & practicing basic surfing skills students also learn about water safety, basic lifesaving and the ocean environment.
