Kia Ora & welcome to the Raglan Surfing School. We are keen to share the fun & adventure that surfing entails with you! Learning to surf is a truly unforgettable life changing experience. Gather up your "GO FOR IT" attitude and come join a surfing lesson with us at one of the worlds greatest surfing destinations.. Raglan, New Zealand.

The surf school offers private & group lessons for learners and the more advanced surfer, surf board & wetsuit rentals, friendly & experienced top NZ surf instructors, school & holiday youth camps, corporate team building & group sessions, womens surf retreats in association with Surf Dames & awesome surf packges including lodgings at our base camp in Whale Bay, the Karioi Lodge.

DAILY SURF LESSONS
Want to learn to surf or advance your surfing? Take a lesson with the Raglan Surf School for guaranteed fun & adventure. Join our trained surf instructors on a half-day group lesson for beginners running daily! You can also book a one on one intermediate or advanced surf lesson. Bookings essential. All surf equipment and transportation is included.

SURF PACKAGES
Surf lesson adventure packages are a must for any keen people wanting the chance to put into practice what they learn from the beginners lesson & also who need a great place to stay whilst in Raglan. Accommodation is at the Raglan Surf School Base, the Karioi Lodge in Whale Bay. The packages include surf lessons, equipment hire on subsequent days, transportation, sauna & accommodation.

SURF EQUIPMENT RENTALS
We have a wide range of surfboards (mini malibus, short boards and soft tops), boogie boards & flipper sets plus full/steamer wetsuits for hire and can also offer sound advice if you are interested in purchasing surf equipment. You can rent equipment for our trailor direct from Ngarunui beach in the summer.

GROUPS
The fun & excitment of surfing combined with the beauty & nature of Raglan make taking a surf lesson for groups & corporates an ideal adventure & team building activity. Small & large groups are catered for with accommodation and catering as additional options.

YOUTH CAMPS Thurs 17th DEC - Tues 22nd DEC 09
The annual teenage youth camp held in the December school holiday's is always in high demand. Every year students from all over N.Z meet together for 1-10 surf filled days. The camp includes all accommodation, scrummy food, surf equipment & instruction, transport, supervision plus many other exciting activities around Whale Bay. Next camp is in December from the 17th - 22nd December 09. Send in your registration form early to avoid disappointment as limited space available!

 SCHOOLS
Looking for an educational activity for your students that’s unique & exciting and which offers a life enhancing experience? Our school surfing sessions definitely fit the bill with thousands of students having enjoyed our surfing programme developed in conjunction with Water Safety NZ and Surfing NZ. On top of learning & practicing basic surfing skills students also learn about water safety, basic lifesaving and the ocean environment.

WOMEN'S SURF RETREATS with SURF DAMES
Our off-beat surf retreats provide fantastic weekends & fun holidays for women wanting the chance to learn to surf or advance their surfing & who enjoy been pampered while out of the water. Choose a retreat with one or all of these great services… private surf instruction, luxury coastal accommodation, devine food & beverages, massage & beauty treatments plus surf fitness. Surf Dames Luxury Camps are held each year for a weekend away you’ll never forget!

SURF SCHOOL ACCOMMODATION
The Surf School is the perfect base for your surfing holiday in Raglan. Come and stay at our base camp the Karioi Lodge set on a 110 acre coastal reserve in beautiful Whale Bay. The lodge is perfect for independent travelers, backpackers, families or groups. We also have self contained luxury beach houses in Whale Bay. Check out the sea views, watch the surfers from your deck or your pillow, take in a west coast sunset & soak in your hot tub at night.
